For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Mint, Never Used Sheaffer Targa Classic Sterling Silver Pencil, Model 1004X, in the Straight-line pattern with Gold Plated Trim. I consider this pencil to be in Mint Condition and looks to have never been used.

This pencil was part of a purchase from a Stationary Store in Georgia where I acquired nearly 25 New Old Stock Fountain, Rollerball, Ballpoint Pens, and Pencils in the Targa design - this is just one of them.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Targa Classic pencil and is model number 1004X with production beginning in 1976 till 1980. This Sheaffer Targa Pencil displays a polished sterling silver straight-line pattern trimmed with Gold Plated clip. The cap lip is stamped, "SHEAFFER U.S.A. SHEAFFER CROWN LOGO & STERLING SILVER". This Sheaffer Targa Classic Pencil comes with lead (0.9mm type) and unused eraser.

The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or wear. The pencil are twist activated - hold the barrel and twist the cap to propel the lead forward or turn the opposite way to repel the lead back into the barrel.

This Pencil measures 5 1/8" inches in length. The diameter of the pencil lead is 0.9mm.
